We signed our first big AI assistant client last week!

The specific use case for a customer service company that handles customer interactions for their clients.

And this weekend . . . I built it.

They were already in AWS for other applications, so it made sense to build it using Amazon’s AI service: Amazon Bedrock.

Wait . . . what is Amazon Bedrock?

Amazon Bedrock isn’t an LLM like OpenAI or Claude . . . it’s an AI service.

It allows you to create knowledge bases, RAG systems and send prompts to several different LLMs, including Anthropic, Meta Llama and Amazon’s own LLMs.

It’s not something you would directly log into and use like ChatGPT.

As a service layer, it runs under your AI-connected application.

Kinda like a layer of bedrock.

If you already have an AWS environment, it’s a great way to integrate AI into what you already have.

But you don’t need to have existing AWS applications to use it.

You can use Bedrock to build your own AI Assistants, even if they live outside of AWS.
